ANM Group announces new Chairman

North-East farming co-operative, the ANM Group, is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Pat Machray OBE CA as the new Chairman of the Group – following his retirement as Chief Executive at this week’s Annual General Meeting.
Mr Machray qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 and stood down as Chief Executive at the Group’s AGM.  He will now follow John McIntosh who retired as Chairman on Tuesday after 11 years in the role.
Outgoing Chair, John McIntosh, said: "After 24 years’ service on the Board, I am proud to be handing the reins over to Pat.   We are delighted that Pat has agreed to take over as Chairman of the Group with his wealth of knowledge and experience.  During his three years as Chief Executive he has turned the business around and returned it to profitability and really delivered to our members.”
Former CEO, Pat Machray, said: “After three years in the role, I am now handing over to our very able Executive Directors - Grant Rogerson and John Gregor – supported by our Group Executive Support Manager and Group Accountant.  Together as an executive team, I am confident that they will deliver success for the Group as a whole.”
I would like to thank our former Chair, John McIntosh, who has been a great influence at the helm over the years.”
The ANM Group also announced that Peter Watson has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair after nearly three years on the Board.  Peter comes from a farming background, running a beef cattle and arable farm based at Darnford.  The farm covers 1,400 acres built up over the last 30 years and he is now working alongside his sons.  “This hands-on insight and broad industry knowledge is key to our business.” said Mr Machray.
