Livestock Handlers

Aberdeen and Northern Marts, one of Scotland’s leading and most progressive auction companies are looking for Livestock Handlers to join their team at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.  

The hours of work will primarily be on our regular sales days on a self-employed or casual basis.

Job description:

This would be a varied role involving livestock droving, dealing with the intake and sorting of livestock, moving livestock from pens to the sales ring and loading and unloading machinery.  Certain jobs within the role will be based outside, in all types of weather and the role will be quite physically demanding.  

Ongoing training and development will be provided.   

Knowledge and skills:

• Experience of working with livestock
• Competent in the safe working of agri machinery
• Knowledge of animal welfare
• Awareness of Health and Safety
• An ability to work as part of a team
