Aberdeen and Northern Marts are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.


Who we are
ANM Group, one of Scotland’s leading co-operatives, based at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie — the agri-hub for the Northeast of Scotland — plays a major part in Scotland’s economy. It is one of the most modern and busiest auction centres in Europe, extends to 400 acres, and hosts weekly auctions of livestock, vehicles, and machinery.


The role
This busy role demands a proactive approach to debt collection and will focus on the management of the auction division’s debtors’ ledger which includes both agricultural and machinery sales. Duties will include the chasing of overdue invoices with customers, ensuring all payments are allocated correctly and efficiently, resolving any customer queries in a timely manner and being responsible for managing new account set-ups. The role will also work closely with the Main Office. Weekly reports will be prepared for submission to senior management. Other tasks will include general admin duties as required by the wider Finance and Main Office teams.


Knowledge and skills
The ideal candidate should:
• have strong interpersonal and customer service skills,
• have good attention to detail,
• be able to work on their own initiative,
• be organised, adaptable and able to work as part of a team,
• offer a solid working knowledge of all MS packages, particularly word and excel.

A knowledge of the farming industry and previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous although not essential.
