ANM Group Announce Key Orkney Appointments

Scotland’s leading member owned co-operative, ANM Group, has announced two major appointments to its Livestock Division to strengthen its Orkney and Shetland operations. This announcement demonstrates the Group’s long-term commitment to both existing and new customers in the Isles and the vital role that Orkney and Shetland play in the co-operative’s success.

The appointments see Michael Sleigh promoted to Livestock Procurement Manager for Orkney and Shetland.  Michael has been a long-standing employee of ANM for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience working with both stock and customers from the Isles.  In his role, Michael will be responsible for the procurement of all livestock from the Isles to be marketed through the Group’s Thainstone Centre.  In addition, Michael will be working closely with ANM’s Shetland auctioneer Ellis Mutch, supporting and promoting the Lerwick sales and our long-standing partnership with Shetland Livestock Marketing Group.

Kerry Omand, Livestock Procurement Agent

In addition, the Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Kerry Omand to a part-time role as Livestock Procurement Agent for Orkney.  Kerry brings a wealth of local knowledge to the team, as a former NFU Policy Advisor Kerry represented NFUS Orkney members, influenced policy and liaised with agricultural stakeholders at a local and national level.
