Procedures and guidelines to follow when visiting our centres

The health and wellbeing of our customers, members and staff remains our priority, in line with the Government's latest guidelines the following procedures must be adhered to when visiting any of our premises:
  • All livestock must be registered before being delivered
  • Vendors are advised to leave the premises after delivering stock and should not attend the sale unless a formal agreement is in place
  • All those attending the Mart must pre-register ahead of arrival
  • Only one bidder per farming enterprise may attend our sales. Please only attend sales if you have a genuine interest in purchasing stock
  • Please DO NOT enter the premises if you feel unwell or are showing any coronavirus symptoms
  • Face coverings are mandatory for all persons entering our centres. These must be worn at all times whilst within the centre
  • When entering the building, please sanitise your hands
  • 2m social distancing should be maintained
  • It is strongly recommended that buyers over the age of 70 or pregnant women, as a higher risk groups, do not attend sales
  • No under 16’s will be permitted access
  • When entering and leaving the building, please sign in and sign out
Please note that the Scottish Government has given an exemption to livestock handlers working directly with animals and therefore please be aware that our staff members working within the rings and pens are not required to wear masks.
