Donnie Completes Remarkable Hat-Trick At Quoybrae

North farmer Donnie Budge completed a remarkable hat-trick of success at the Aberdeen & Northern Marts summer store cattle show and sale at the Caithness Livestock Centre today.

Donnie, of Brae-Edge, Castletown, Murkle, Thurso, won his third champion’s trophy in a row this year at the event at Quoybrae, Watten.

Today’s winner was a 695kg Charolais cross bullock, which sold for £1,500 to the show judge Angus Cumming, Tillydesk, Udny, Aberdeenshire.

Donnie was presented with his champion trophy by Robert Allan of show sponsors, Allan’s of Gillock.

His two previous titles this year at Quoybrae were in April with a British Blue cross bullock and in March with a Limousin cross heifer.
