Sale of Pedigree Bulls

Wednesday 24th February 2021
Sale of Pedigree Bulls

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic our usual Show and Sale of Pedigree Beef Breeding Bulls will be held this year without the show. Entries for this sale will close on Monday 4th January at 5.00pm.

This sale will once again be recognised as an official event by the British Charolais Society, British Limousin Society, the British Simmental Society and the Aberdeen Angus Society. This means that National Beef Association rules apply and therefore the normal breed inspections will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 23rd February.
In line with guidelines from the Breed Societies and the Scottish Government BVD eradication programme, it is recommended that all bulls for sale are of known BVD status (i.e. accredited by a CheCS approved health scheme or individually tested) and double vaccinated. Please apply to your health scheme provider for your Health Declaration Pen Card, for display on sale day.
Please note that all Charolais bulls must also be DNA sire verified and the society have asked us to remind you that these samples MUST have been completed or in process at Weatherby’s (Not at the Charolais office) before cattle are entered into the sale.
Please find attached a copy of the entry form for you to complete and return back to us with a completed herd health declaration which can be downloaded from your breed society.
An entry fee of £20 plus VAT per animal is due on entry.
Please do not hesitate to contact John Angus on 07801 186312 with any queries regarding this event.
